I have 2 simular fixtures, the explorer 250 and the explorer 250 MKII. Both types uses different fixture files. In this example the zoom function is different in both fixture files, and if I want to change the value with the encoder, I have to use 2 different encoders instead of one. To manage this problem I tried to edit the fixture file in the show library for both fixtures and call this parameter ‘zoom’ for both fixtures. If i try to save the value’s, the lampy shuts off and says ‘retrieving system data’. Next, nothing has changed and I have to start over.
I figured out this bug only pops up if there are ranges in the parameter. When I deleted all ranges, then change the parameter, add all ranges again by hand and save the file then, it works.

Thanks for your report. Unfortunately we have just finished off a Version for internal testing and release, so this bug report will be addressed in the next version, which is scheduled for prolight & sound.

You can however use the following workaround: transfer the fixture from the show library to the user library. Edit the fixture in the user library and transfer it back to the show library.
However: Anything that has been programmed for the changed function will be lost. This would also be the case if you change the fixture in the show library directly.

We fixed another issue in the upcoming version and decided to fix this one as well. Will be fixed in 2.0.5, which will be released soon.
