masterfader in virtual executers#274

Yesterday we had a hardrock / metal festival and used a Lampy for the lightshow. Everything went fine until suddenly “disaster” happend… It was kind of my fault, but what really happend, I was watching the stage waiting to press “Pause” next to “Chase speed” in the virtual executers page. While I was waiting for the right moment with my finger hovering above the “Pause” button I accidently touched the screen. And regretfully I hit the virtual master fader at zero level resulting in a black out. I didn’t realise it at first, and it took me some seconds before the light was back on.
I think its dangerous to put the virtual master fader in this position in the virtual executer page. All by all, what’s the purpose of it? The master fader can be set all the time on your console…
Possible solutions to resolve this:

  1. Make the master fader only change when dragged (not jump to the intensity when accidently toutched in the master fader object).
  2. Get rid of the master fader (only the fader, not the black out button etc.) in the virtual executers page and replace it with 9 buttons to directly select play back fader page whitch is far more usefull I think.
  3. Make the virtual master fader only react when for example “shift” is pressed so we know it’s intentionaly.
  4. Maybe some other options to fill this space…

I discovered several other bugs, but I’ll come back on these when I’m back at my console and place them in different posts.
