
If you work with visualization software such as Capture, it is tedious and error-prone if you have to create the device library and associated patch data in parallel (in Lampy & Capture).
In Nolt #283 I suggested exporting a patch list to physically address the devices e.g. on stage. With this proposed extension, the library created in lampy could then be imported directly into Capture. Both systems work with Atlabase anyway.

If we export to capture fixtures would have no positions, as we have no “real” position data; wouldnt an import make more sense in this case?

Yes, that would also be an option.
I have a bit of a headache when it comes to “generic fixtures”, whether left or right-handed, because Capture doesn’t recognize these “freely definable” generics (at least that’s what I know). But Denis, you know better.
