Denis, this is the mentioned file …..
Screenlock got active but then Lampy crashed …..

I made a version with 720p (instead of 1040p) with “Eport / Animated GIF” function in Powerpoint and this works ….

The internal resolution is actually 1280x800. Where the file came from would have been my next question :)
The really interesting thing here is that we do not have any “restricting” size limits in place - the hard limit is 32768 px by 32768 px

It’s a ppt and then exported as animated gif with highest resolution ….

Hi there,
I’ve had a look and while it has been running without a crash on my lampy for the past 20ish minutes, the gif file itself is a little problematic.
First off, full HD is quite large; the internal screen has a resolution of 1280x800; second it is running at 24 fps - it is advisable that gif files have a maximum of 15 fps.
Each frame itself due to the large amount of gradients is also pretty big and takes time to load; I’d suggest using a solid background color and a maximum size of 1280x800 for animated images.
At the moment we can not really check all of these properties during import, and as so far this has been an isolated case I am unsure if we will improve the handling in the upcoming 2.1.1 bugfix release, which right now is pretty much done except for USB Stick handling - which we are waiting for some USB Sticks that do not “mount” on lampy that have already been sent.

Denis, no prob ….. thanks for your analysis. But good to know …..

By the way: the file crashes the Lampy everytime when I load it…..

Its actually freezing there, which is mostly due to this:
