MFF FADERS : No response of several faders during show#327

Lampy 20: The most right 4 (or 6 ?) MFF faders stopped working unexpectedly during the show.

Reboot did not solve the issue.

Disconnect power / reconnect power did solve the issue.

Additonal info:

• we may have connected a USB light during this part of the show
• System was running on a 80kva generator

Last online software update was september 19. 2024 So I assume 2.1.1.

Will check in the upcoming weeks.

This sounds like hardware - if the PCB for some reason freezes, the only way to recover is to power cycle the console.

I assume there are some weird things going on on the USB of the console. This would consistently fit in with the DMX Output Issues you had.

The fact you had issues with the frontpanel and dmx output sort of strengthens my assumption here - Frontpanel and DMX Outputs are controlled by two entirely different applications running in parallel - it is highly unlikely both suffer a similar condition, while other customers are not having these issues.

To be honest: I’d send the console in for service.

I have experienced the wildest things in my life when it comes to power supply. Are you sure you had a stable power supply? Fluctuations or faults can quickly bring a Lampy to a standstill…..
