Merge Bug#442

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create a group
  • Merge more fixtures into that group
  • Fixtures merged will stay on 100% dimmer until restarting the console

I dont know why this was created twice

Can you elaborate?
Is the Group assigned to an MFF?

It even happens with an MFF assigned, one thing that I noticed today is that my Master Fader still works, so just the MFF is ignored after merging until rebooting

Hmm, I can’t reproduce that here.
Can you maybe upload your showfile and let me know which fixture IDs and which Group / MFF you merge into?
Is the MFF at 100% when merging, or at a lower value?

I don’t have the showfile right now, but it could be important that I have a fader that sets all fixtures that I want to control with a group MFF to 100% dimmer. After the merge that Fader is still working, but the group Faders are not working anymore for that group.

Do you have another fader with the same fixtures? If multiple Group Faders are controlling the same fixtures, then the group masters are compared highest takes precedence. So for example:

Fader 1 is a Group with Fixture 1 + 2
Fader 2 is a Group with Fixture 2

Fader 1 is at 50%, Fader 2 is at 100% - then fixture 1 will be output at 50%, fixture 2 will be output at 100%.
